Elections for Directors

Next Director Election Date: May 3, 2025.

First Day to file an application for a place on the ballot: Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Deadline to file an application for a place on the ballot: Friday, February 14, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.

The location(s) of the election will be posted upon determination.

For interested candidates:

To run for election to the District’s Board of Directors and have your name on the Ballot, you must file an application for a place on the Ballot by the filing deadline. Please contact the District’s office for more information and instructions on obtaining an application for a place on the ballot.

To be qualified to serve as a Director, a person shall be at least 18 years old, a resident citizen of the State of Texas, and either own land subject to taxation in the district or be a qualified voter within the district. Texas Water Code 51.072. Additionally, a person must be a United States citizen, must not be declared by a court as mentally incapacitated without the right to vote, and must not be convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned. Texas Election Code 141.001.
